Woodland Burial Sites

There are a number of local woodland burial sites.

Keele and Stone Cemeteries

Both these cemeteries have dedicated woodland burial areas

surrounded by mature trees and hedges.

They are beautiful places for a loved one to rest in peace with nature.

At Keele you can even choose the type of tree you want at the head of the grave.

There is a community room at Keele Cemetery in which funeral services can be held,

with seating for 60 and a large free car park.

Your loved one can be remembered with trees, meadow flowers or shrubs.

There is also a section for burying cremated remains.

Whether it be a traditional funeral service or something a little different

everything can be catered for.

Westhope Green Burial Ground, Shropshire

Hidden away in the Shropshire hills you will find Westhope Green Burial Ground which is set in an orchard, the grass being cropped by rare breed sheep.

Early in the year it is a real picture with snowdrops and daffodils flowering, then later in the year the apple blossom comes out.

There is a small chapel within the grounds which can be used for any type of service, religeous, or non-religeous Celebration of Life Services. There are also areas within the orchard set aside for ashes to be scattered or buried.

The owners welcome people to visit for a walk around at any time and the chapel can be opened on request.
